Things that come from trees and I'm talking syrup.

  1. Chocolate
  2. Hair dye
  3. Gum
  4. Toilet paper
  5. Toothpaste
  6. Syrup

These things all have something in common, they're all made from trees! Do you like chocolate? If so there's a tree that could make chocolate with its sap. Syrup is made by the sap of the tree, to get syrup you have to drill a hole in the tree in March or April to get the sap from a tree, next you cook the sap over a fire to make the sap into syrup and there will be some water left and that's how syrup is made.   [so think of that next time you're eating pancakes.]

What things can you think of that come from trees?

Bye.

Favorite Shows on Netflix

Favorite Netflix Shows

Happy New Year!

To start this year I have decided to share my top 5 favorite Netflix shows with you.

Number 5 is Bill Nye because it is all about science from an actual scientist that does experiments on many things and I have learned a lot. Number 4 is Zoo Clues, the reason that I enjoy watching this show is because it gives animal facts and gives random quizzes to test your knowledge and memory skills. Number 3 is Wild Kratts because the main characters are brothers that turn into animals with creature powers that shows what makes the animal unique. A show that I like watching with friends is Brain Games, it is addicting because it gives you brain teasers and makes you think about normal things in different ways. So that was number two, now we're down to number 1 it is Planet Earth planetary science is my favorite subject and this show gives facts on how the earth was created.

I rarely watch t.v. because I prefer to play. As you may notice, most of these shows are nonfictional, with the exception of the cartoon characters of Wild Kratts, mainly because I like to watch real life scenes.

Thanks for reading! See ya next week

So, what are your favorite t.v. shows?

My New "Pet"

Hi I'm going to tell you about my new pet, I'll give you some hints so you can guess what it is.

Here are the clues:
They eat flies and also dried worms, some are purple and some are green and there are a lot of them in a plastic jar.

Can you guess what it is?

It's a Venus FlyTrap! That's right. So far I have fed it flies and dried worms from the pet store and when I fed the baby trap it snapped shut immediately. Did you know that when something goes into their center they seal their mouths close? If you are as curious as me to know if you put your finger in if it would hurt you, well the answer is....  no, believe me I've tried. They are pretty cool to watch especially when it catches a fly, they are slow eaters. If for some reason they can't snap anymore it's okay, because they still provide their own food through photosynthesis. I water them twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. I took a picture of my new carnivorous plant and my mom will put it below.

Can you count how many there are? Leave your answers in a comment below.

That's all for now. Bye!
